run queries in Slate
Slate queries are a quick and easy way to get specific data on applicants.
- All queries have a preview window with a search function.
- Users can link to the applicant record from the preview window.
- All queries can exported into Excel and manipulated as you see fit.
This page outlines how to find and run prebuilt queries and the content of those queries.

How to run a prebuilt query
Prebuilt queries appear on the landing pages of both the administrative side of Slate and the Reader. The process is the same to run all queries.
Find the query you wish to run:
- Click the query link.
- Click Run Query.
- On the preview window you can: view the data, use the search box, click on an applicant row for more information (includes a link to the application record).
- Click Export to pull the data into a spreadsheet. You can use this spreadsheet to sort and filter the information.
Find prebuilt queries on Slate's Landing page (also on the Reader home page).
After clicking Run Query users can preview the data, use the search field, click Export to pull the data into Excel.
