Alishia is an experienced group fitness instructor with a background coaching barre, dance, functional strength, HIIT, and cardio endurance classes. She brings an upbeat and positive energy to every class and loves a great playlist!

Her previous coaching experience includes private clubs and boutique fitness studios in Toronto and Vancouver. She aims to provide challenging and accessible classes so everyone can leave the studio feeling accomplished. Let鈥檚 move together!

Elena is a Stotts Pilates instructor and 51社区黑料cognitive science student. She is deeply passionate about health, longevity, and fostering a lifelong commitment to fitness. In her classes, she emphasizes hard work, safety, and inclusivity, creating an environment where every student feels supported. For Elena, one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching Pilates is building personal connections with her students.

Shirley Wang

Program:

Shirley Wang is a BCRPA-certified Pilates instructor with a passion for integrating scientific principles into movement and wellness. Holding a Master of Science and a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Engineering, Shirley thrives in academic environments where she can combine her expertise in biomechanics, ergonomics, and fitness.

Inspired by Seneca鈥檚 belief that 鈥渆very individual deserves a body that serves them well,鈥 Shirley is committed to helping students achieve their optimal physical potential. Her classes emphasize precision, inclusivity, and the joy of movement, fostering strength and confidence in participants of all levels.

Outside of teaching, Shirley enjoys dancing, reading, exploring science fiction, creating videos, and pursuing personal development. A devoted dog lover, she often finds inspiration from her canine companion, Nanu. She is thrilled to bring her scientific insight and enthusiasm to SFU鈥檚 fitness community, empowering individuals to build healthier, stronger lives.

Richelle Volk

Program:

Richelle has been a passionate fitness competitor in bodybuilding for the past three years and has enriched the lives of numerous clients through her role as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Motivated by her desire to make a significant impact on individual health and community well-being, she recently launched Sunday Move Club, an initiative that offers feel-good fitness classes that aim to improve physical fitness while giving back to charitable causes in Vancouver's Tri-Cities. Richelle's unique approach blends strength training with restorative movements from yoga and Pilates, maximizing strength, mobility, and overall body health.
