Teaching and Learning Development Grant Program
In 2007, the Teaching and Learning Development Grants were first introduced and facilitated by faculty members who were the founding members of the Institute for the Study of Teaching and Learning in the Disciplines (ISTLD). TLDG projects were typically funded for $5K, although two-phase grant projects with additional funding were also possible.
In response to partner feedback and through our program evaluation and assessment, we made changes to our model of teaching and learning inquiry at SFU. We are excited to create more opportunities and entry ways for faculty, instructors, staff, and students to engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). In 2022, the TLDG program was replaced by SoTL 101 and SoTL 102.
