PUB 890: Professional Practices Seminar I

A course to help students build the professional confidence, communication skills, and industry insight they need to thrive in grad school and the publishing industries.

This course focuses on building essential professional and academic skills for success in graduate school and future careers in publishing. Through a mix of workshops and small-group activities, students will explore graduate-level research and writing strategies, develop communication and networking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of industry structures, roles, and practices. Topics include public speaking, wellness, and career exploration.
