SCA Alumni Space Residency Program
The SCA Alumni Space Residency Program offers SCA alumni access to SCA studio spaces during the month of July in 2026. As an intergenerational learning experience, selected artists will be partnered with 2-3 current SCA students for mentorship and assistance throughout their residency; following the application process, student mentees will be matched with the respective projects. This initiative is an ancillary program run by the volunteer SCA Alumni Engagement Council, with support from School for the Contemporary Arts staff, faculty, and students.
This residency supports artists with space on the fourth floor of the School for the Contemporary Arts (149 W. Hastings St., Vancouver), including all the equipment that is installed in the requested rooms: 4270, 4210, and 4650 (the Blonde Studio) all have projectors, sound systems, and basic lighting boards. Please note that all other gear will need to be sourced by the artists and that this residency doesn鈥檛 come with any additional funding or technical support.
For this pilot program, only two spots will be awarded. The committee will be assessing applications based on (1) artistic merit, (2) impact, (3) feasibility, and (4) need.
